Press & launch stories

Give a journalist a story that matters to their readers.

What makes a story

A product announcement competes with every other announcement. Explain what changed, who is affected and what evidence you can show. A small original dataset, a distinctive founder story or a customer’s measurable result gives a reporter something to investigate.

Build a useful press kit

Prepare a short explanation, dated facts, product screenshots, founder contact and a working demo. Separate results you measured from customer claims. Pitch a small set of relevant reporters with a specific reason the story fits their beat.

Measure beyond the logo

A press mention can bring qualified visitors and credibility. Track enquiries and activated customers rather than treating a logo as a business outcome. Paid placements should be identified as sponsored. Google lists paid links used to manipulate rankings as link spam; a press campaign should earn attention on its own merits.
