About Startups Wiki

A field guide to making things people pay for.

Updated 18 October 2026Sources & first-hand accounts

What belongs here

Startups Wiki collects founder stories, practical guides and the evidence behind business claims. The original project set out to preserve startup culture beyond short-lived social posts. This edition keeps that aim and adds dated sources, first-hand accounts and concise explanations.

How to read a page

A founder’s reported revenue is attributed to that founder. A social post is an opinion or experience, not a universal result. Historical examples retain their dates so that a launch price or old growth milestone does not become an accidental current claim.

Where to start

Explore Makers for people and portfolios, Marketing for distribution, and Money for pricing and funding. Every guide links to original sources so you can follow the reasoning and judge whether it applies to your business.
